Driving School Caland is officially celebrating its 20th anniversary! In that time we have helped thousands of students on their way to their driver’s license. We are proud of what we have accomplished and we look forward to the future.
In 2003, we started with a small team of instructors. To be exact, with two: Irem and Zafer. We had a clear vision: we wanted to teach driving lessons with passion and attention to the individual student. That vision is still our starting point.
It is important to us that our students feel comfortable during driving lessons. This is why we work with a small team of experienced instructors. They take the time to teach students to ride well and guide them in their learning process.
Over the past 20 years, we have learned a lot and are constantly improving. We take pride in the quality of our driving lessons and we are confident that we give students the best chance to get their driver’s license.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the past 20 years. We look forward to the future and we hope to continue to provide driving lessons to people in the area for many years to come.
The coffee table
At Caland Driving School, we believe it is important for students to feel comfortable. Therefore, we offer a free coffee table for students and their parents or guardians.
During the coffee table, students and their parents or guardians can meet and get to know the instructors. Instructors will give a brief presentation on driving lessons and exams.
The coffee table is also a great way to get our non-Dutch-speaking students started. It helps the many expats who rely on our help to feel at ease. Browsing our textbooks gives new Dutch drivers an idea of the rules in Dutch traffic.
The talk before and after
Besides the coffee table, we also think it is important to have a chat with students before and after.
Prior to the driving lesson, our instructors and front desk staff take the time to get to know the student and discuss the goals of the trial lesson.
Afterwards, we discuss the trial lesson with our student and provide feedback.
The talk before and after helps us guide our students well and make sure they get the most out of their driving lessons.
Parents
Parents are increasingly important in the driving lesson process. They are often the ones paying for the driving lessons, and they want to make sure that their child is well supervised.
At Caland Driving School, we believe it is important to involve parents in the driving lesson process. Therefore, we cordially invite parents to participate in the coffee table and we are always ready to answer questions.
We believe that good cooperation between student, instructor and parents leads to the best results.
Apps for shared driving
In today’s time, there are many modern forms of driving and more and more shared driving apps available. These forms of transportation are often cheaper and more convenient than having your own car. This also decreases the need to get your driver’s license for many people.
Despite these developments, having your own driver’s license remains very valuable. Having your own license gives you the freedom to go where you want, when you want. It also gives you the opportunity to find a job that depends on a driver’s license.
